Your first passage.
The tale begins by selecting the first passage from the Explore page. Passages in The Infinite Tale are small pieces of a story, written by people just like you.
These are just the beginning.
Passages are short, bite size pieces of the story. The first passage in a tale sets an idea in motion. Hopefully your first passage is fun and makes you curious about what happens next.
Here for you.
The passages you see throughout the tale, including these, have been randomly selected for you and will always be here for you to come back to and explore for new changes. If you're looking for new adventures you can get a new collection of passages at any time anywhere in your adventure.
Read and rate.

Bookmark to come back.
If you enjoy a passage, click the bookmark button to make it easier to come back. The Infinite Tale is all about returning to passages you've read before to see what new options you might be able to explore.
Give a star or five.
Ratings are important in The Infinite Tale. Your rating helps others to find the best passages through the tale. Low rated passages slowly disappear. Your rating keeps the quality high.
Just in case.
Sometimes a passage is of extreme concern. Passages that are illegal, harmful, or demonstrate prejudice against a community are unacceptable. The Report button is there just in case a passage doesn't meet or violates the policies of The Infinite Tale.
Decisions, decisions.

Continue the tale.
Hopefully your first passage gave you an appetite for more. Below that passage you may find several or even many passages that continue where this passage left off. Each is unique and could go in any direction.
Waiting for more.
At some point in your explorations you will find a passage with no next passages to enjoy. If the story is fun, bookmark that passage and go back up the tale.
Take a left.
The top of the page is your map. Tap any title to go back to that passage and try a different direction. You never know what you might find.
Help the tale grow.
4.
Be inspired.
As you explore you may have an idea for a new direction for your story. Share it! The Infinite Tale grows when people just like you share their new ideas for others to experience.
Small ideas make big ideas.
Every passage you read has been made by other explorers that had a new idea or direction for a tale. Even the simplest idea can be inspiration for others to build on.
Write.
You can write a new tale by clicking Write at the top of the page, or continue a tale anywhere you see the "Continue the Tale" in your next passage choices.
